Offering accommodation, conference facilities and farm tracks, Marainanga is a historic station set in stunning Akitio on the east coast.
Marainanga approached Nectarine needing a logo to represent them in a modern, minimal way. Combining the old with the new, we began our process inspired by the Marainanga homestead – a decorative, teal coloured victorian building.
The striking filagree within the architecture directly influenced the ‘cut-out’ design of the Marainanga type and logomark, while the colour palette was informed by shades of the house and surrounding landscape. The three triangular shapes coloured in those three shades of blue represent house, sea and sky.
