Farah Dejohnette1

Farah, horsewoman extraordinaire, came to me with an idea for a logo that she had been incubating for a long time. Farah was an Art Major at Art and Design College, she has an experienced design eye and was able to provide me with a defined, clear brief. We took great pains to get it right. Lots of little tweaks thinking about balance and meaning. Farah, from the USA who visits New Zealand annually,  spent a good amount of time studying the symbols of Maori Art and putting them together. She learned that it is important to tell your own story and her story goes like this… Koru for new beginnings, Rauiri  (figure 8) representing the path of life, and the Manaia horse is her guardian angel.

Here is what Farah has to say about her logo.
